I've been married to "Stray Dog" since August 16, 1986. I have been owned by Harley (whose portrait I use for an icon) since December 3, 1995.

My day job for most of the last couple of decades has been as a drafter/designer, switch hitting between MicroStation and AutoCAD, sometimes hand drafting, and I have a nodding acquaintance with ArcInfo. I've worked in Civil, Mapping, Electrical Generation - Transmission - Distribution, Utility Routing, Piping, Structural, Highway Design and brushes with Architectural.

I've also edited and published a couple of newsletters (for a car club and a pipe smoking club), and wrote a few technical manuals for companies I've worked for.

I really aughta update.

Job hunting was less than productive... they're hiring fully papered engineers to do my job these days... and the sad thing is (for the engineers) is that they're applying for those jobs!!!

So we've moved out of the Kansas City area and back to the podunkville little town, where it's highly unlikely I'll find a job - but at least we'll have a roof over our heads.
Yeah, Straydog & I have moved back in with Mom and living on the second floor - instead of the other way 'round. She was supposed to move in with us after I get a permanent job.

*Sigh*

I guess I'll go back to school next semester (if I can figure out how to do it without using my social security money - retirement - to pay off the loans) and maybe write a book while I'm at it (HAHAHAHA I've been saying that for 40 years now, I wonder if I'll ever manage to get it done...)

I just dumped in a share of the pictures I've taken in Second Life tonight.
