I've been off line for a while.  Being widowed in the USA, under the age of 60 and able bodied (because of my training and experience as a drafter), and unemployed in this country left me profoundly impoverished.  Because I live with my Mom (like where the heck else am I supposed to live?), and she still owns a farm, I can't get any help.  Because I live in the area where I do, there's no jobs to be had that I'm not "over qualified" for...
Bah...
Well... I'm just SOL for the next 22+ months.  Hopefully survivor's benefits will still exist by then.
A friend had a spare, ancient lap top, and he's loned it to me.  Maybe a trip to WIFI access areas will allow me to get on once in a while now.
